Esteemed Australian journalist Fran Kelly is set to get up and close and personal on queer life and friendship with her new ABC podcast series, Yours Queerly.  

The six-episode series highlights the profound impact individuals have on one another within the LGBTQI+ experience. Episodes feature prominent Australians sharing the stories and ties that bind them, with surprises along the way.  

Journalist Narelda Jacobs and Ru Paul’s Drag Race Star Kween Kong share their journey - from admiration at a distance to a deep dive into the realms of drag, family, identity and faith. Following suit, Matilda’s players Katrina Gorry and Michelle Heyman showcase how their friendship withstands the challenges of professional football.  Renowned comedian Josh Thomas and his friend Courtney Smith explore the themes of love, fame and friendship.

In a profound episode, Ita Buttrose and Bill Bowtell delve into a friendship forged amidst the challenges of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. The series takes a global turn as it features Courtney Act and LGBTQIA+ advocate Alexander Leon, revealing the evolution of a friendship sparked by a chance meeting in London. And Danielle Laidley and Stuart Aubrey explore courage and camaraderie in navigating personal battles within the hyper-masculine worlds of footy and politics.
